When practicing before an appellate court, we provide written and oral advocacy that focuses on what an appellate court will find most persuasive based on its standard of review for the issue. The Appellate Practice Group has the excellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills needed to evaluate whether an appeal is in the best interest of the client and, when it is, to present the client’s case in the most persuasive manner to the appellate court.

Among the services the Appellate Practice Group provides to the Firm’s clients include handling all aspects of appeals and writs in both state, federal courts and supreme courts, handling all aspects of judicial review of agency actions in both state and federal district courts, supporting litigation counsel during trial to ensure that issues are properly preserved for a future appeal, and providing additional support to litigation counsel as needed when specialized written and oral advocacy skills would assist in obtaining the best result for our clients.
